Caleb Tesfaye
Is an Eritrean-American composer based in Boston, Massachusetts. He is currently pursuing a BFA in film scoring and jazz composition at Berklee College of Music.
Caleb has had the fortune of a childhood spent across southern and eastern Africa, living in 4 countries before returning to the United States to pursue music. His pan-African upbringing influences every aspect of his life, especially his music. Currently, he is active in Nairobi and the US east coast.
The nature of pursuing his interests in both jazz and scoring has molded him into a versatile musician, capable in many different fields, performance, production and composing alike.
For the past 4 years, the Boston music scene has been a welcoming home for him. He has done soundtracks for a number of local films as well as plays alto sax, percussion and keys with his band, Sweetums.
